EMMANUEL PRODUCTOR

Producer and engineer Emmanuel Briceño, a former member of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional community and a graduate of the Instituto Pedagógico Nacional, won the Latin Recording Academy’s Award for Best Pop/Rock Album 2023. He received it for his work as co-producer and engineer on Juanes’ album “Vida Cotidiana”, with whom he has been working since 2022.

He feels this award is a great honor because only members or partners of the Academy cast their vote, which shows both technical and artistic interest. This therefore reflects the quality of his work.

It is important to highlight his musical heritage comes from his father, Maestro Arnulfo Briceño, who composed the music and lyrics for the UPN anthem. He also directed the institution’s choirs of which Emanuel was a member as a child. This early exposure led him to see music as a philosophy of life. He began his musical journey with violin lessons at the Conservatory of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and continued with music production studies at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Every effort pays off, Emmanuel firmly believes. His music reflects the influence of all his teachers, and he is grateful for the musical touch they have left.
