Goldberg Machine Contest of the Technology Department

The Technology Department of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional held the Goldberg Machine Contest, an event looking for creativity and innovation promotion among first-semester students of the Electronics and Technological Design degrees.

This initiative, which promoted an active participation of the students, awarded the first two places, evaluated by 4 professors from the department, who were the juries and the responsibles of evaluating the 5 students groups’ machines, registered for the contest.
The jury’s evaluation had a specific rubric based on:

Personal presentation:

• Knowledge of the creation, based on the content in the Fundamentals of Technology subject.
• Manufacture with recyclable elements.
• Up to three minutes of the circuit operation

In conclusion, the Goldberg Machine Contest was a successful event where the talent and skills in designing and building amazing machines of the winners were demonstrated.
