The 2023-2024 Public Accountability Hearing was successfully held and chaired by Rector (e) Adolfo León Atehortúa Cruz, who reported on the institution to the general university community.
The Delegate of the University Management, Vice Rector Sandra Duran, the Administrative and Financial Vice Rector Yaneth Romero Coca, the Academic Vice Rector Jairo Alejandro Fernández, and the Director of the National Institute of Pedagogy Rocío Guío Gutiérrez, explained in depth the progress and challenges of critical issues such as the Institutional Development Plan, accreditation, International Academic Mobility, Improvement of the Academic and Educational Project, Internships, Double Degree, Regionalization of Education, Free Education, Coexistence, Gender, Care, Social Outreach, Educational Extension, Mental Health, Pedagogical Excursions, Sports Representations, Foreign Language Teaching, Infrastructure and Facilities, Inter-administrative Agreements, Coverage and Formalization of Teaching Work, among others.
The Information and Content Manager of the Project Management Subdirectorate (CIUP), Edwin Peña, emphasized the importance of knowing the balance provided by the University Administration in order to identify the different strengths that our University has to work together every day for a better institution. It is also important to highlight that the concerns raised online by students, teachers and officials have been resolved, whose answers were given by the heads of each process, by providing specific data and statistics.
Professor Atehortúa Cruz gave a fraternal welcome and wished the new administration all the best, led by Helberth Choachí, who will take up the post of Rector next Monday, 29 April. Professor Choachí attended the event with his transition team in order to learn about the current situation of the University.
Estefanía Garay, a fifth-semester Special Education student, attended the event and explained that this time is useful to know how the UPN works internally and administratively, so that more students can know how the institution’s resources will be managed in the future. Hence her decision to attend this important meeting.
Our Training Teachers Institution is committed to open government and the sound management of our own educational and historical heritage.
