As a part of the implementation of the Rectoral Plan 2024-2028 of the UPN, the High Council issued the Agreement No. 018 of September 11, 2024, which approves the payment of social benefits of vacation and vacation leave bonus to staff and contract professors in proportion to the length of the worker’s employment.

Given the current historical debt to improve the working conditions of professors in our Teacher Training Institution, the incumbent administration is committed to this part of dignifying professors.

This document is the result of the implementation of the current regulations, the agreements between the UPN and the Association of University Professors (ASPU), based on Article 69 of the Colombian Political Constitution, which guarantees the autonomy of universities and establishes that universities can set their own rules and be governed by their own statutes, subject to the law.

It will also be reported to the Community, but according to the progressive principle, there will be a phased progress to dignify and pay the remaining social benefits related to the studies of financial, administrative, technical, and legal viability. These have been agreed upon after the allocation of added resources to the budgetary base. Here it is important to emphasize that this will be implemented from the date of issue, which can be consulted in the institutional web page embedded in the browser of the UPN rule.

The UPN is still committed to a practice of teaching that will allow it to be recognized as an essential part of society.
